Harbourside used to offer a shuttle to the Harbour Bay Shopping Centre -- not sure if they still do, but there are quite a few stores there -- grocery is Solomon's Fresh Market and very good, if perhaps a little more expensive than you are used to at home, but great selection all the same, liquor store, pharmacy, Starbucks, banks, and a few other stores. It's a 5 minute ride from Harbourside across the bridge.
Or you can have your taxi stop on the way from the airport. Super Value in Cable Beach is perhaps the best for prices.
Probably the best overall wine and spirit store in the Bahamas - in terms of range and value it's hard to beat the main Butler and Sands store in the city.

A limited selection of groceries are available at Atlantis Sundry Shops, for a wider selection, a food store is located a few blocks from the resort.
called Harborside for another reason, and got this information. Shuttle departs daily at 10:00 am (except Sunday, which is at 8:00am) and goes to Super Value over the bridge. Cost is $7 round trip pp
My plan is to have a taxi stop on our way to Harborside and grocery and liquor stores. But, if we are too hungry or tired we will take the shuttle the next day. The shuttle is $7.00 roundtrip per person and goes every morning I believe at 10:00 from harborside to grocery/liquor store.

Bristols liquor store. Their soda was only $.75, and small waters only .70. They also had punch and lots of liquor and mixers. Great prices on Rum and decent wines/prices. Definitely significantly cheaper than the other liquor store.
Right off property there were several liquor stores and they all seem to charge the same---$9 for a 6 pack of beer, any kind of beer whether it be Kalik, their native beer or Miller
If you want to try Sands Beer, which is brewed in the Bahamas by a Bahamian company, the best prices will be at Jimmy's Liquor Store
Bristol's in Paradise Plaza (or whatever it's called) where Anthony's is has a decent wine and liquor selection and very reasonable prices on those two things.
I usually use Butlers and Sands with Bristol's as second choice

the City Market sign is on the building still...but, it's owned and operated by Super Value. Same products and same prices. Bristol Cellar's, even the PI location, has the best prices overall. Actually the prices are the same at all Bristol locations in Nassau/PI. Grocery store at "the top of the hill" on Mackey is Super Value...not Super Fresh. The former City Market at Harbour Bay Center is now Solomon's. Very nice, organic items, speciality items, butcher counter, fresh seafood, etc. A bit pricey, but very nice.
I have done this myself to save money @ Atlantis. I have been there 6x over the last 10 yrs so I picked up a few things along the way. First of all, on your first day there, take the water taxi ($6 RT) back to mainland (Nassau). They let you off by straw market. Look to your left & there is a Tortuga liquor shop right on the corner approx 2 blocks down, go to that block & turn down that street but just before you get to liquor store. On your right as soon as you turn that corner is a local grocery store.....all the water, snacks & provisions you want/need for anyone (at normal Non-tourist prices).
Potter's Cay
The main outdoor market where you can find fresh fish, fruit and vegetables. A great place to buy fresh conch straight from the sea. It has excellent food stalls and bars too.
