Lunch at the Lagoon Bar & Grill: It's not the food, but the chance to sit above a predator lagoon that rocks. It's where we saw that shark shown at top.

Very hard to find, but there is a small shopping area in walking distance that seems to be off-property and with prices that are much better and also where you can find things that aren't available in the resort.
From Royal Towers, walk through the Casino and then follow sings to the Marina and walk through the Marina shops. Just before you come to Johnny Rockets (at the end of the shops) walk left and you'll come to a main roadway. There's a crossing just toward your left and then you're in the little shopping area. On the SECOND row of shops is a Bristol Liquors as well as a small grocery. Bristol sells wine/beer/liquor at fair prices. A mid-sized bottle of premium Gin ran us under $20. Cans of soda were $.80, vs. $3.50 on the resort. This area also has Anthony'srestaurant, where the prices are slightly better than on resort, and a Dunkin Donuts (that we didn't go into.)
Given that package goods and regular groceries are impossible to find on resort this is a good option for those who don't have the time or interest to go into town.
The liquor store in the shopping center is across the street from Comfort Suites.
Bristol Cellars on PI is open until 6pm Mon-Sat, and until noon on Sundays.
the liquor store that's in the strip center across the street from Atlantis (near Anthony's) it is still open. 2018
There is a very small grocery store in the same shopping center that sells bottled water. The tap water on Paradise Island is safe to drink. It comes from the sea and is treated by reverse osmosis desalination. It cannot be any purer.
Just returned from Harborside. The liquor store has lowest prices within walking distance of Harborside. The hours are limited.
Just to add to the previous posters, we got lots of liquor across the street from Coral Towers. The prices were terrific. Also, I found out a great tip that I had never seen anyone mention here before. The liquor store in that strip mall sells mixers (coke, diet coke, sprite, ginger ale, fruit punch, goombay punch, tonic water.) in cans. This is CHEAPEST you will find anywhere at only 80c per can!!! and only $1.10 for juices! This compares to $3.50 for a can of Coke in the room or anywhere else. The juices onsite can go for 4.50. I can't recommend the liquor store enough for the mixers.
They also have a quart of Bacardi for $10.00
