WDW Orlando: Animal Kingdom Pandora Dec 9-16

Familiarize yourself with Disney World's theme park programs — Disney's Rider Switch ProgramDisney's Single Rider Program and learn how Disney's FastPass+ system works. They do not cost you any more, but they will help save you steps and time.

. The best way to get on the rides you want is to go during the off season (January through March or September through November) and/or during a weekday when crowds tend to be thinner.

Not to mention the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival in the fall months-perfect for adults!
August 31-November 13, 2017

Narcoosee’s, California Grille, and Le Cellier are perfect locations for dining without children.

One of the park’s biggest draws is Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is cool for both kids and grown-ups who really want to see Timon and Pumbaa in real life. Have a meal at Tusker House, where there are characters for the kids and an African food buffet (that’s by far a culinary step above most of the buffets on property) for the adults. There’s also the Rainforest Café, where you can eat in a thoroughly decked-out faux rainforest and drink adult beverages out of light-up cups.

green check is best days
green date is low season
red exclam is busy

$20 parking on top of that is over the top
downloading the Park app so you can view the wait times

Fastpass line is usually a 2-10 minute wait rather than a 2 hour wait! It takes a bit of forethought and planning to get the most out of the Fastpasses
FastPass+ allows you to sign up for three rides per day per park, up to 30 days prior to your visi
When you've completed all three rides, you can find a FastPass+ kiosk at the park and sign up for an additional FastPass+, and so on. This new system allows guests to bypass the really long lines—Peter Pan (Magic Kingdom), Mine Train (Magic Kingdom), Toy Story Mania (Hollywood), Everest (Animal Kingdom) and Soarin' (Epcot) typically all exceed 60 minutes.

TIP 12: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF DISNEY FREEBIES

There are many ways to enjoy Walt Disney World without buying a park ticket, which is especially nice if you have an extra day at the beginning or end of your trip. Anyone can hop aboard the monorail or the ferry for a ride (parking fees might apply). All Disney resorts and restaurants are open to visitors with an ID. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a spectacular resort to visit—here you can even see the giraffes and zebras from the main lobby. Fort Wilderness Lodge offers horseback riding and walking trails along the lake. Disney's Boardwalk is free and offers a view of the Epcot fireworks. Disney Springs is another fun option without admission, and parking is free. You can ride the water taxi, play with LEGOs and watch the 2 pm princess parade—all for free.
the Be Our Guest restaurant serves wine and beer.
Tickets to EpcotAnimal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios rose slightly to $97
Only buy from Walt Disney World or its certified partners, like your hotel concierge, a professional travel agent or Visit Orlando.
Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite parks, but many of the attractions close at dusk.

PACK FOOD AND DRINKS

Taking an Uber might be another good bet.

A free alternative to a fireworks cruise is timing a free boat ride from the Ticket & Transportation Center to the Magic Kingdom right as the fireworks start. You’ll be on the boat with about one hundred of your closest friends, but it’s a big boat, and that’s still far fewer people than on Main Street!

From Orlando International Airport
Take OIA South exit (FL 417S - Toll) to Osceola Parkway West (exit 3) to Walt Disney World Exits
exploring Disney Springs, which is free to visit.
