  Take a step back in time with an evening stroll along Disney’s Boardwalk, a quarter-mile promenade boasting endless charm and architecture inspired by 20th century coastal cities like Coney Island and New Jersey. Watch street entertainers, enjoy an ice cream cone or Saltwater taffy from Seashore Sweets’ and tour unique shops, restaurants and nightlife venues. Disney Springs features an eclectic and contemporary mix of 150 establishments including shops, restaurants and other venues.

Disney’s Boardwalk

Tucked between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, Disney Boardwalk transports you to Coney Island in the 1920s.

Relax a bit as you walk along Crescent Lake, watch the street magicians perform and take in the fragrant funnel cakes. Parking is free.

Formerly known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs is a lakeside corridor of shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment.

You don’t have to spend money to enjoy the lively outdoor atmosphere. There’s also a water taxi you can take from one end to the other. Plus, parking is free, which is hard to come by in Orlando.

  Free things to do in Orlando and Disney are two words you don’t see together very often. However, at Disney Springs there are several fun and free options at your disposal. You can explore the World of Disney store, which is an experience in and of itself. Also, visit the Lego Imagination Center, where your kids can enjoy the free Lego building stations and nearby playground. Plus, there are events throughout the year like Festival of the Masters, an award-winning arts & crafts event.

• Disney’s Boardwalk

  For free things to do in Orlando, you can’t beat the charm of Disney’s Boardwalk. Stroll along Disney’s boardwalk, a re-creation of a 1930s-style Atlantic coastal village. The boardwalk is home to nightclubs and entertainment, but visitors can enjoy the street musicians, water views and street entertainers for free.

• Grand Bohemian Gallery

  Even if you’re not staying at the Grand Bohemian Hotel, stopping by for a free tour of the Grand Bohemian Gallery is worth the time. The gallery has everything from local contemporary art glass and jewelry to European paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries.

• Gaylord Palms

  Tour the 4.5-acre atrium of the Gaylord Palms Hotel, home to three distinctive regions modeled after the Florida Keys, Saint Augustine and the Everglades. It’s a sight to see and strolling through the unique atriums is absolutely free.

The Milk District (named for its proximity to T.G. Lee Dairy) is known for Tasty Tuesdays, a gathering of local food trucks each Tuesday, 6:30-10 p.m. Bring the kids — or your dog — and check out the live music and neighborly festivities.
