Mt. Rose 2009--GSR

Drove up before xmas--beat the crowds. In Roseville, waited for Mizu to open. First ones in. Big snow base over Thanksgiving, then another storm dumped the weekend before xmas. Drive up was on clear, dry roads with new clean snow over the mountains and landscapes.

Stayed at GSR for the first time. Old, but renovated. Still in dark colors, esp. the hallway.
Kind of impressive, small lcd TV in bathroom. refrig and microwave.

$10/day room surcharge for 2 bottles of water and internet access. But we got one free breakfast buffet pp.

Put a couple of $5 bets on a slot machine, and won $42.
